MOONRISE KINGDOM WEB SEARCH ENGINE Filming took place in Rhode Island from April until June 29, 2011. Worldwide rights to the independently produced film were acquired by Focus Features. In 1965, a pair of young lovers (Kara Hayward, Jared Gilman) flee their New England island town, prompting a local search party led by the Sheriff (Bruce Willis) and the girl's parents (Bill Murray, Frances McDormand) to fan out to find them. Starring: Jared Gilman as Sam Shakusky The film premièred on May 16, 2012, at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, where it screened in competition. It will be released in French theatres the same day. The American release is scheduled for May 25 through Focus Features, though initially it will be released only in New York City and Los Angeles. Moonrise Kingdom has earned positive acclaim from critics. It currently holds a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 91 reviews. Peter Bradshaw of guardian.co.uk gave movie 4 stars out of 5 saying "Wes Anderson is on form with a charming tale about two unpopular kids who fall in love and run away" TAGS:
